pets proper health. Our Veterinarians and staff are prepared to help you
provide the best care possible for your animal companions.
Our full service laboratory allows us to run necessary tests on your pets
health condition so that we can quickly respond to your petís urgent
needs, pre-surgical tests, and routine check -up work. These tests may

With our partnership with Idexx Laboratories, we are able to offer high
quality, fast turnaround diagnostic tests with direct access to advice
from clinical pathologists and other specialists.
To maintain a sterile environment for all of our surgeries, we have a
dedicated surgical suite. We use the latest equipment, supplies and
monitoring systems including ECG, pulse oximetry, capnography (CO2), blood
pressure, circulating warm water blanket. We use the safest known
anesthetic such as Isoflurane, and Sevoflurane. Our patients are placed on
IV fluids and monitored closely by a Licensed Veterinary Technician who is
trained in anesthesia and pain management. This technician will follow
your pet through the entire surgery and recovery, ensuring compassionate
Brushing your dog or cat's teeth is the easiest way to prevent oral
infections, tooth loss, bad breath, or even major medical problems
associated with dental disease. However, sometimes your pet may need to
undergo a complete dentistry treatment. Our state of the art dental
department provides necessary prophylactic and periodontal treatments for
dental disease. We use ultrasonic scaling, fluoride treatments and
similar to human dentists.

The Doctors at The Howell Veterinary Care Center work closely with Board
Certified Veterinary Specialists, often consulting and referring cases
requiring more specialized care or diagnostics. These include:
Dermatologists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, internists, oncologists,
radiologist, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, a behavior consultant,
physical therapy services as well as MRI and CT Scan services. These
relationships allow our doctors to more effectively diagnose and treat our
patients, as well as allowing us to stay abreast of the most current
techniques and treatments.
